Professor Hakim is globally recognised for his leadership in transplant surgery, having co-led the world’s first successful arm transplant and launched the first pancreas transplant programme in Southeast England.
Academic and Surgical Achievements:

    •    Over 250 peer-reviewed papers and 24 textbooks authored
    •    PhD from University of London; Surgical Fellowships at Mayo Clinic and University of Minnesota
    •    Former World President of the International College of Surgeons
    •    Former Vice President of both the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Red Cross
    •    Honoured globally with five honorary professorships, visiting academic roles, and the Max Thorek Professorship of Surgery
    •    Editor-in-Chief of International Surgery for 11 years; now Emeritus Editor
    •    Awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 2016

Professor G. K. Mahadev

Dr Mahadev is on a lifelong mission to bring affordable and accessible healthcare and education to communities worldwide.
He served the NHS from 1996 to 2019, before founding UHealth and launching global initiatives that now span Europe, India, the Middle East, and the US. 

His work bridges infrastructure, finance, and policy — enabling delivery at global scale.
Key Achievements:

    •    Secured two major UK Government contracts totalling £34 billion GBP
    •    Designed the World’s First Healthcare Apprenticeship Program 

    •    Founded the World’s First Healthcare Academy at Flixton Girls’ School, Manchester
    •    Instrumental in creating multiple medical schools:
         -  Kent & Medway (UK)
         -  University of Bolton Medical School (UK)
         - Jacksonville Medical School (USA; opening 2025/26)
         - Currently establishing 5 medical schools with 500-bed hospitals in India (World Bank funded)

Taha Coburn-Kutay is a seasoned business strategist and international development leader, with over two decades of experience in global business operations, trade, and media. He specialises in building cross-continental partnerships across the UK, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, with a focus on emerging sectors and high-impact collaboration.
Career Highlights:

    •    Chairman of the UKABC — a one-stop trade facilitation platform for businesses in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the UK
    •    Appointed Economic & Business Advisor to the Kingdom of Bunyoro-Kitara, Uganda
    •    Played a leading role in bringing MotoGP to India in 2023, hosted at the Buddh International Circuit
    •    Holds multiple non-executive directorships across sectors including:

Professor Kaul is a champion of international trade and investment and a globally recognised policy advisor, business leader, social entrepreneur, and academic. His career spans advisory roles with the UN and World Bank, executive leadership in Commonwealth diplomacy, and academic distinction in both India and the UK.

Career Highlights:

    •    Member of the UN Secretary-General’s Management Efficiency Group
    •    Conducted the first World Bank evaluation of Mohammed Yunus’ Grameen Bank in Bangladesh
    •    Delivered a keynote at a special session of the UN General Assembly on Public Management
